One of the greatest flamenco guitarists who ever lived, Paco de Lucia expanded the genre by collaborating with creative artists in the jazz and classical field.
Recently, more than 30 artists celebrated his life and music at a five-day event called the Paco de Lucia Legacy Festival, with shows at Carnegie Hall, Town Hall, Le Poisson Rouge, Instituto Cervantes and Symphony Space. Among the artists performing at the festival were Ruben Blades, Al Di Meola, Jorge Pardo and Chano Dominguez.
